Seventeen boats out of Tamarindo and Flamingo, captains we know by name, and fifteen straight years of TripAdvisor Travelers' Choice. Scroll through a day with us, then tell us your dates.
Every hull here is one Steve and Liisa have fished from, and every captain is one they'd put their own family with. Rates are per boat and include gear, bait, drinks and lunch on the longer days. Tell us your group and budget, and we'll tell you which one.

In Tamarindo the boats launch straight off the sand, a panga runs you out and you're fishing while the town is still waking up. In Flamingo you step off the dock at the marina. Either way the crew has already loaded ice, bait and the lunch.

About forty minutes at cruise and the bottom falls away to a thousand feet. That edge is where the sailfish, marlin, tuna and mahi live, and it is why this stretch of the North Pacific holds so many IGFA records. Half days stay inshore; 3/4 and full days make the run.
Half days stay along the rocks for roosterfish, snapper and jacks. Go 3/4 or full and you're offshore for sailfish, marlin, tuna and mahi. Sailfish peak May to August, blue marlin November to April, and there is no month here with nothing biting.

Table fish come home with you; half the restaurants in town will cook your catch that night. Billfish go back in the water, every one. Tips aren't expected, but a crew that worked hard for you will remember 15 to 20 percent.

The boat drops you where it picked you up. Shower, sunset, a table Liisa reserved at Pangas or El Chiringuito. Tomorrow could be the zipline, the estuary with the kids, or the boat again.

Sixteen adventures we've done ourselves: the sunset catamaran, ATVs through the back roads, the estuary crocodiles, Rio Celeste, a spa afternoon. Most pick up from your hotel in Tamarindo or Flamingo. We book them all in one email.
No payment online and no obligation. You get a straight recommendation, one boat or a whole week, and you pay the boat on the day.

We came down from Canada in 2004, stayed for good in 2010, and ended up doing the thing we love most: putting people on fish. Even if you don't book through us, call. We would rather you have a good trip than a bad one with someone else.
TripAdvisor gives its Travelers' Choice award to the top ten percent of attractions in the world, judged on what everyday travelers write afterwards. Go Fish Costa Rica has earned it every year since 2012, 2026 included.

My oldest landed his first sailfish and the hands made sure he got it to the boat, with pictures before a successful release. They also put us on some grouper so we had supper for the night.
We booked a full day with high hopes of landing some mahi mahi, and Chris and Edwin delivered. We caught mahi and wahoo, and the lunch on board was far beyond what we expected. We even had birthday cake on the water.
Steve, Liisa and the entire Go Fish team took such great care of us. Brought home some great fish for the family, and everything from booking to airport drop off was seamless.
We had a party of 12. A half day fishing trip and a sunset catamaran tour with transport. Buses were early, drivers friendly, and both trips were top notch on service, food and crew.
Boats are in great condition. Captain knew the area very well. Great catches, and they take care of all the fish caught. Great experience for the whole family.
I have been fishing with Go Fish so many times I have lost count. Tyler got me out on short notice. The mahi were hitting non stop, as were the jacks. Great crew, great lunch.
Every part of this team treated us like family and went above and beyond. Our first trip like this, and now it is going to be a tradition.
Steve and Liisa made the booking process seamless and shared incredibly helpful tips before our trip. They arranged a private driver who picked us up right at our resort.
Great pricing, very friendly staff, incredible day. Will be returning for sure.
Tyler helped us plan an extraordinary trip to Tamarindo to celebrate our son's college graduation. Every last detail was executed to perfection. Two days on a 31 ft flybridge boat with three great captains was the icing on the cake.
Just took my family for a second time to Costa Rica for the Go Fish experience. We got to do more this time, including an ATV trip and zip lining. Tyler and Justin made sure we all had a blast.
The team was helpful and communication was clear. The whole process was easy and everything went exactly as planned from start to finish.
